WOYWW a sign of the times

Oh yes you can tell it is December and everyone has gone arrggghhhhhh - the number of comments and visits fair plummets! I'd cry but I'm too busy you know what I mean?  So it is Wednesday and time to present our desks at the bequest of the very fine Ms Dunnit and for the joy of those with still an hour or 2 left to blog. On Sunday night mine looked like this:

Oh yes my friends fun was being had with gluey watery mixture and tissue paper - why? because my lovely MIL who asks rarely for anything was reminiscing about a snowman that came out every Christmas and held a surprise present for everyone and I am sure in her own way she was saying you know how you like making things - so there it is a work in progress (it is now all lovely and white but taking a back seat while higher priority things are happening. On Monday the sewing machine came out again and I had a good run finishing a bag and making a couple of gifts. Now it looks like this:

It's back to paper craft. I am feeling pretty good and on top of things, lets not factor in the Crimble cards that still need writing (still hopefull of being able to include really good news (have I mentioned before that I find Whitefriars a really incompetent company and if the flat is still in our possession during Christmas it will be because of them.....). Only a few more small things to go and at least a couple of weeks :) nearly 3 really......... Lets hope the little ones cold stays with him alone and dh birthday passes smoothly this weekend and I shall remain serene as the landslide towards mayhem develops.................

sorry if I've missed you, but I have had problems with finding the comment box or links to it!! But!!! I found it this morning! We had a snowman (I made it) that came out every Christmas with sweets in side....I haven't seen him for a while...I think Mr dustbin might have taken him!
Have a great week. Happy Crafting HaPpY WoYwW Lyn #31

Oh dear, colds and no move as yet. I think you should just make the most of it now and wait until after Christmas. Shame about the agents! Bah humbug to them!

Sad to hear you are having problems with moving. I moved around Christmas ages ago and I am still traumatized from it. Can't wait to see the finished snowman/gift holder. Hope you have a great week. Merry Christmas! Vickie aka Okienurse

My mother-in-law had a big snowman which came out every Christmas. It would be filled with little treats for all the children (big ones too), and our children keep remembering it, and wishing they had one for their children. Looking forward to seeing your finished snowman. Maggie #33 (I was 34 but never mind)

How funny we used to have a snowman when I was little with a present for everyone in and every year I keep thinking I will make one but never do! I use a bag from the Disney shop instead! Hope the flat sells soon and yes that DS keeps the cold to himself! Hope OH has a great birthday too - my DS1's was yesterday so its all birthday in our house at the moment and wont be until next week that we start to Christmassy here! Have a great week.

The snowman is a cool idea! Hope you'll share a photo of him once he's finished. I'm really behind with my preparations having been out of action for over a fortnight with that awfujl throat infection but hoping to catch up OK now. Happy WOYWW, Shoshi #56

Your snowman sounds great. It's so funny when people drop huge hints about things they think you could make for them, but what a kind DIL you are to take on the challenge.
I think we are all having a panic about having so much to do. We love to pile on the pressure don't we.
