So what is on my desk this week (WOYWW link on the right - gateway to Ms Dunnit's and desk paradise), well you did ask to see the finished snowman............
There are some presents for my family in the background and the fabric is the start of a second present for my mum to be completed on Thursday. The snow man is sitting on top of the birthday cake (or what T hasn't eaten of it..........) and our lovely muji wooden Christmas tree resides to the right. Just a few simple kids gifts left to be constructed now. The Christmas cards are written and addressed I still have to do the letter but it looks like our happy flat ending is going to drag into 2012, sigh. I just keep holding off and hoping. Would be good to hear it for definite from someone, damn lawyers, vendors and estate agents. This weekend we need to get the food gifts made and it is the 5th (get that oh yes) the 5th annual waffle brunch. It is the last time before the 25th we hang out with our close friends. We get together for brunch starting with some cheese and onion waffles and follow up with some sweet waffles with increasingly bizarre and beautiful toppings :) do you have any traditions?

I was going to start by saying what a busy desk you have and aren't you good making a lot of your prezzies...but I got distracted by the thought of a Waffle Brunch!! What a fab idea - I can see my boys being completely absorbed in trying to create a Tower of Toppings on theirs. We must try :)
Glad you liked the bunting!
Hugs, LLJ #43 xx
Thanks for sharing your snowman but you can keep your waffles. Waffles and pancakes are no no's on my eating palette. Give me good old bacon and egg any day.
Thanks for sharing though.
wow that is a great week and I am looking forward to seeing all those beautiful things you have won... the desk is looking nicely productive and creative... poor you having to balance a birthday and Christmas... always hard to keep them separate...xx
Lucky you with all your parcels. Love the look of your little wooden tree and the sound of a waffle party...have fun.
Hugs,

what a table full of goodies! Have a great day. Helen, 3
congrats on all the wins! I have been lucky too and it sure helps on the down days! Love the snowman, and the waffles sound like fun! Thanks for sharing! Have a great week and Happy Holidays! Vickie #35
Congratulations on your blog candy wins, lucky you. Love the snowman but can't see much cake left and now you are talking about food again. I'm with Neet on the virtues of bacon and eggs versus waffles.
I love family traditions, one of mine is putting the Christmas tree up on 17 December (my late Dad's birthday) and putting on the two, now dilapidated, Father Christmas ornaments I have had since a baby. (Not just those two ornaments in case you thing my C tree will be a little pathetic looking ha ha.)

yes indeed ,traditionally:
1. we don't keep secrets
2. we try not to tell lies
3. we do indulge in a ripping yarn if it is better than the truth, but prefixed with a warning that it may not be the whole truth
4. talking is almost but not quite as good as eating; so traditionally it's best to invite people over for food and see where the stories go,
have a jolly happy build up to the big day... and see you next week,

Waffle party sounds like fun. I love your little Santa and your tree. Sounds like you will be busy sewing too this week. x Jo
What a bonanza week for you and I look forward to seeing where you put your bunting - you can see where I put mine on an earlier post if you are interested :) Love the snowman. I've no traditions like your waffle party which does sound like fun. Have a great week. Elizabeth x #66
PS: belated birthday wishes to your hubby.
Love the jolly santa.

Love all your candy wins, great job. I was lucky enough to win some of Jan's bunting too, isn't it just gorgeous? I love savoury waffles, there used to be a place in St Albans we'd go to sometimes, a waffle house in a converted mill by the river, beautiful location.
Hugs

What a lovely lot of post :D Does make you smile doesn't it?
Poopy lawyers. Not good. Razzzzzberries at them.
Tradition. Craig must always cook us all eggy bread on Christmas morning. He hates the stuff which makes him a bit daft for starting the tradition :D
