Where to start this Wednesday morning. Sleep deprivation has been high on our agenda still. I think it has been cold related but OH and I have been woken up or kept up too many times to count by the 2 year old terror. Yesterday through his choice not mine there was no afternoon nap (I went into his room to discover he had climbed out of his cot on to the chest of drawers (which is above the level of his cot.......) pulled down the curtain rail and was proudly declaring mummy mummy). However last night we ALL slept through the night - I'm sure many of you have been there where young person sleeps through and you lie awake at the times they have been disturbing you for the last for rthe last however many weeks. Please let it be over and normal sleep resuming. Then however many weeks (think it is being counted in days now)until Christmas - it's ok bonfire night is over now we are officially allowed to start thinking about it. I get a debtors letter claiming I owe £90 to Orange from 2007 -n what I want to know is as I have lived at this address since way before then why oh why is this the first I have heard about it (and I haven't been with Orange for a good while). Lastly there was my trip to the NEC which was a lovely if not elbow bashing day out toooooooooo many people. Yet I was disappointed I think maybe because the needlecraft section was in the craft section this time the papercraft etc section was much much smaller. Good deals on Martha Stewart punches but then I couldn't remember where I had seen them all and soooo many people (I don't really like lots of people much happier with a few special ones - you know like you guys) I'm sure I over spent on the punches I got by about 5 quid. other than resupplying my sakura glue pens it was a poor buying session (still manages to spend enough mind you). Is that enough words D???
Anways if your still here I did get a shiny big (much better for chopping 12 x 12 than an A4 mat .................. sorry about that dragged away to put nutella on baby boys (I know 2 is not a baby but he is my baby) toast. Where was I ah yes shiny new cutting mat, however there was no way yesterday I was going to get mat in place with previous chaos so rearrangement time. Which led to more rearrangement - especially with the curtain pole coming down in the boy's room so I took a mid craft tidy break to sort out and rearrange the bedrooms - I'm sure I am not the only one to be so easily distracted. Still with the appalling weather it gave me the opportunity to work on the above beautiful butterflies (A Bug's Life is currently no. 1 on T DVD list). So today the sun is out, there are no packages to be delivered, the flat is in a reasonable state, we may just have to get some fresh air, mind you that cold has settled on T chest maybe we should stay in the warm and I should craft?.................

ah Nooo
easily Interested ( in other things) NOT easily distracted!!!
it is the desire and ease with which we remain interested in All Things that drives our creative juices - it's the basis for my lost mojo theorem:
lost mojo? = lost interest? = not distracted by a burning need to DO something anything? (so what Are you thinking about right now?)
as the lord of creative marketing Nike said - stop thinking (stupid) and Just Do IT (spend that dosh in their case - create something in mine...)
well done for doing it.....( whatever It May Be) or as we say here:
keep on keeping on - must dash on my way to next job....

Sounds like my idea of hell at the NEC, i hate the sardine tin thing! Have you considered locking the 2 year old in a cupboard or buying a big stick? No- im joking honestly! hope you get some proper sleep soon hun!x

Stay in the warm, stay in the warm :)
The last Ally Pally I went to in April was much the same by the sound of it so we gave September a miss to go visit a bloggy friend in Yorkshire instead. Much more fun. Missing this Aprils Ally Pally to do the same but braving it again in April - am already seriously low on supplies so will be having a bricks &mortar shop style splurge with eldest DD in the beginning of the year but it's nice to catch up with bloggy peeps at Ally Pally :)Hate crowds though. Really do. Been Christmas shopping twice in 2 weeks - both to shopping centers. My idea of Hell and nothing - I say NOTHING original to buy :(
The book is looking fabby!
That should be braving it again in September! Doh!
Thanks for sharing your world with us. Love the plate spinning that you have to do with a young family :-) Enjoy every minute cos your baby will be all grown up like mine is too quickly [my baby is 23 and yes he is still my baby but please don't tell him that :-) ]

TWO ATGS?? I'm sorry, I felt the need to shout!! I like the look of the big craft mat...very sensible size. AS for the baby boy - hmm, guess it was aboutthe same age that my baby knocked nap time on the head - but we did forever after get decent long nights!
You probably don't want to hear this, what with the sleep deprivation thing going on, but my son is 23 and left home four years ago to go Uni and I still wake up in the middle of the night because he was such a bad sleeper at 15 months old!! :( I love the look of the butterflies... is it going to be a mini book? Very neat workspace. Sorry to hear about the lack of sleep - hope things improve x Hazel #100
Liking your butterflies. I was at the NEC too. 1st time for me so I thought it was good. Spent loads of money and had a fab time but yes it was very crowded.
Thank for sharing love your space - can remember the broken sleep nights my baby girl will be 17 in February - where did the years go. I would love to go to the NEC but dont do lots of people so never been brave enought maybe one day x
Have some fresh air first and then do the crafting....your imagination will fly sky high.

yay!!! I used to do that, and can remember climbing out of cot as well as pulling back the mattress and squeezing out that way, then out the window (bungalow) and play play play, then nip back in before mum knew!
Never been to the NEC and as above 'lots of people' my head would spin!! Great snoop

Hope the nights settle down soon again, probably all part and parcel of raising little people. I love A Bugs Life too!! Great movie! Sounds like perfect weather to just stay inside and do whatever it is that you want to do!

I can enjoy reading about the antics of toddlers only because all that is behind me now... my daughter, however and sympathise with you, she has a 28 month old daughter!
I know what you mean about not being able to find the stall at the NEC where you previously saw something... you an go round and round and round!
Those butterflies look great!

Hope you've managed to stay in the warm. What a lovely work to craft in you have. Thanks for sharing your workspace. Best wishes, Kym xxx (WOYWW No 36)
Love those butterflies and you workspace!
It's bad enough that I am running nearly a week late, then I have been plagued with that pesky 503 error all night. Just wanted to drop in and let you know I was here this week. Your new craft mat is going to be handy. And I can't believe any one needs two ATGs. Don't let Julia know (grin).
